Excise Department seizes 364 KG of Ganja from house in Chitrakonda

Malkangiri Odisha , 24 March : In a recent development, the Excise Department made two successful raids and seized a total of 394 KG ganja. The first raid was conducted on the house of Benu Hantal, where the department seized a whopping 364 KG ganja.
According to sources, the Excise Department had received a tip-off about the illegal cultivation and distribution of drugs in the area. A team was immediately dispatched to investigate the matter, and upon conducting a search of the premises, they discovered the large stash of ganja.
In a separate incident, the department conducted a vehicle check on Balimela road and seized 30 KG ganja from the vehicle of Nitai Paramanik of MV-40. The ganja was found hidden in the vehicle, and Nitai Paramanik has been arrested and both forwarded to court.
The Excise Department has been cracking down on the illegal drug trade in the region and has been conducting regular raids and checks to prevent the sale and distribution of drugs. The department has urged the public to report any illegal activities related to drugs and assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in such activities.
