Malkangiri Odisha : The final day celebration of the Malyabanta Mohatshav ended on a peaceful note despite a stampede caused by the presence of renowned singer Mantu Churia  and Asima Ponda on stage. The event was attended by fifty thousand crowd and the police were able to control the situation quickly, preventing any major injuries.


The stampede occurred during the evening hours when the main stage was being set up for the final performance of the day by Mantu Churia and Asima Ponda. The crowd, which had grown increasingly large, began to push and shove in an attempt to get a better view of the stage. This led to several people falling to the ground and getting injured.



However, the police were quick to respond and took immediate steps to control the situation. The Suptd.of Police Malkangiri Nitesh Wadwani who was present ,deployed additional officers to the scene and began to clear the area of the stampede. They also helped those who had been injured and provided medical assistance to those in need.

Hon’Minister of Law, ST & SC Development,Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Shri.Jagannath Saraka was the chief guest for the event and he praised the organizers for their efforts in making the event a grand success.

Despite the incident, the final day of the Malyabanta Mohatshav continued as planned and the final performance was able to take place without any further disruptions. The organizers of the event also released a statement thanking the police for their quick response and for ensuring the safety of all those in attendance.
