Former MLA Aditya Madhi’s Funeral Attended by All Party Leaders, Administration, and Public

Malkangiri, July 4, 2024 – Malkangiri witnessed a heartfelt and solemn gathering today as the funeral of former MLA Aditya Madhi took place. Madhi, who passed away yesterday at AIIMS Hospital in Bhubaneswar, was brought back to Malkangiri this morning.
Hundreds of people from various parts of Malkangiri paid their last respects at several locations, including Govindapalli, Pangam, and Pandripani. The body was then kept at the BJP district office for final rites. Among those in attendance were notable figures such as Malkangiri MLA Narsingh Madakami, Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khilla, and former MLAs Mukund Sodi and Damburu Sisa.
Leaders from various political parties also gathered to honor the late MLA. Congress President Govinda Patra, G. Srinivas Rao, Mala Madhi, M.D. Farooq, former MLA Manas Madkami, and Ex-ZP Chairman Gangadhar Buruda were present, paying their tributes with floral offerings. Malkangiri District Collector Sachin Pawar also paid his respects.
As the procession made its way through the region, students and people from Malkangiri , Poteru, Kalimela,Podia joined to pay their last respects. The final journey concluded at Madhi’s native village of Metaguda under Bapanpalli GP in Podia Block, where the cremation took place amidst a mournful atmosphere.
Shri.Aditya Madhi, who transitioned from a teaching career to politics in 2009, faced electoral defeats in 2009 and 2014 but successfully secured a seat as a BJP MLA in 2019. His death marks a significant loss for the district BJP and the community he served.
