JIO ANNOUNCES THE LARGEST EVER JIO TRUE 5G ROLL-OUT WITH 50 CITIES ACROSS 17 STATES / UT
MUMBAI, JAN. 24 : Reliance Jio today announced the largest-ever launch of its True 5G services across 50 cities. With this, Jio users across 184 cities are now enjoying Jio True 5G services.
Reliance Jio has become the first and the only operator to launch 5G services in most of these cities. Jio users in these cities will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, to experience Unlimited Data at up to 1 Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost, starting today.
In Odisha, Jio True 5G has been launched today in six new cities of Balasore, Baripada, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Puri and Sambalpur. With this Jio True 5G in now available in 10 major cities of Odisha as Jio True 5G has earlier been launched in the cities of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela and Brahmapur, in the state.
Commenting on the occasion, Jio Spokesperson said, “We are thrilled to launch Jio True 5G services in 50 additional cities across 17 states and union territories, taking the total count to 184 cities. This is by far one of the largest rollouts of 5G services, not just in India, but anywhere in the world.
We have stepped up the speed and intensity of True 5G rollout across the nation because we want every Jio user to enjoy the transformational benefits of Jio True 5G technology in the new year 2023. The entire nation will be able to enjoy and benefit from Jio True 5G services by December 2023.

New Delhi, Jan. 24 : Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, moves into 2nd spot in the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) world rankings for the aluminium industry for assessment period FY 21-22. The S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Indices are a family of best-in-class global benchmarks that track the performance of the world’s leading companies in terms of economic, environmental, and social criteria.
The company moved up two spots from the previous 4th rank globally, in the FY 20-21 assessment. This makes Vedanta Aluminium the second most sustainable aluminium producer in the world. More than 10,000 companies across various industries undergo annual evaluations of their sustainability practices, only the most sustainable of which are selected for inclusion in the list.
Vedanta Aluminium scored high on most aspects of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria, including Cybersecurity, Environment Reporting, Environmental Policy & Management Systems, Social Reporting, Labor Practice Indicators, Human Capital Development, Talent Attraction & Retention, Customer Relationship Management, and Social Impact on Communities.
