Journalists Extend Warm Greetings to Minister and Legislators at MUJ Bhawan

Malkangiri, [9th July 2024] – In a significant gathering today at 1:30 PM, the Malkangiri Union of Journalists (MUJ) welcomed the Honorable Nityananda Gond, Minister of Mass Education, SC & ST Development, Minority and Backward Classes Development of the Odisha Government, along with MP Shri Balabhadra Majhi and newly elected MLAs Narsingh Madkami (Malkangiri) and Mangu Khilla (Chitarakonda) at the MUJ Bhavan. The reception was led by MUJ President Shri Devaprasad Das.
The dignitaries engaged in a comprehensive one-hour discussion with MUJ journalists and workers, focusing on the pressing issues faced by the Malkangiri district and potential solutions. Key topics included the recruitment of sufficient teachers in district schools, renovation and construction of school buildings, and establishing a railway connection from Malkangiri to Jaipur and Bhadrachalam.
Emphasis was placed on addressing unemployment among the educated youth, the establishment of a B.Ed college, and the development of the Ranchi-Vijayawada road into a four-lane highway.
During the meeting, the journalists also raised their concerns with the Minister and MLAs, particularly focusing on the protection of journalists at work and the provision of pensions. The dignitaries assured the attendees that these issues would be given importance and presented in the Assembly.
The event saw the presence of several key figures, including MUJ Vice President Mr. Satyanarayan Panda, Shiva Prasad Kiraniya, Jitendra Beura, Debabrata Sana, A. Eswar Rao, Prakash Patnaik, Shankar Pal, Krishna Ray, Chakradhar Patnaik, Govinda Mandal, Jadupati Mohanty, Vikram Padhi, Wara Lakshmi, Lakshmi Tripathi, and Santosh Naik. Additionally, Malkangiri District BJP President Nimayi Chandra Pal, along with senior cadres Nihar Roy, Kamlesh Roy, Sanjay Sarkar, Maniklal Chakraborty, and Nabaghan Lokei, were also in attendance.
The discussions underscored a collaborative effort to address the district’s challenges and work towards holistic development.
