Jajour,NOV 12: A 48 year old man lost both his legs while trying to cross a railway track at Jajpur Road railway station in Jajpur district on Wednesday after he got hit by a goods train.

The victim, identified as Arjun Bhanj of Tarua village under Ramachandrapur police station in Keonjhar district , was crossing the railway track when the accident happened.

“His legs were severed after being run over by a train . He also suffered serious head injuries. He was taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) at Jajpur Road where he was given initial treatment and then referred to the SCB medical college and hospital at Cuttack , said Dr Sobhagy Subudhi of the Community Health Center(CHC) of Jajpur Road.
