Malkangiri, 12 March,2024:-A beacon of empowerment shines bright in the heart of Malkangiri as the Mission Shakti Cafe officially opened its doors today within the premises of the Malkangiri Block Office. This monumental initiative was inaugurated by Zilla Parishad President, Shamari Tangul, and District Magistrate, Sachin Pawar , marking a significant milestone in the journey towards women’s empowerment in the region.

The initiative aims to foster self-reliance among women in Malkangiri. The state government and district administration have prioritized initiatives like Mission Shakti to uplift women economically. The newly opened cafe promises employment opportunities for women in the region.

Managed by the DLF Group named Jagyashini, the cafe is staffed by 11 women who are members of the group. Offering a variety of food items, including Mandiya products, the cafe serves as a platform for these women to showcase their talents and entrepreneurial skills. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of Malkangiri PD DRDA Ratnakar Sahu, B.D.O Prabhati Jhodia, OLM Officer Pabitra Mohan Bara , and other officials.

The establishment of Mission Shakti Cafe underscores the commitment to gender equality and economic empowerment at the grassroots level, providing women with newfound opportunities for growth and self-realization.
