Odisha: 2 IAS officers, both estranged from their first spouses, exchange rings for marriage

BHUBANESWAR, FEB. 20: Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and Sambalpur Collector Ananya Das on Sunday evening got engaged to her Bolangir district counterpart Chanchal Rana at her residence in Sambalpur.
The glittering engagement ceremony in the presence of the family members and relatives of the couple immediately went viral on social media platforms. Followers of both the IAS officers on Twitter greeted them for their engagement.
Das and Rana will tie the nuptial knot within three months, sources informed.
Ananya Das, who hails from Assam, had earlier tied the knot with Koraput Collector Abdaal Akhtar. Similarly, Rana had married to Rayagada Collector Swadha Dev Singh.
However, after separations from their respective partners, both Das and Rana decided to marry again.
Das, a 2015 batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer, had previously held the position of the Commissioner of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
On the other hand, Rana, an alumnus of NIT Silchar, is a 2014 batch IAS officer and bagged seventh rank at the India level.
Earlier, UPSC civil service examination 2015 topper Tina Dabi had grabbed headlines for her divorce from IAS Athar Khan and second marriage with Pradeep Gawande, a 2013-batch IAS officer.
