Residents of Padmagiri GP reeling from extensive damage caused by recent Norwester

Malkangiri Odisha, 2 April : In a devastating incident of yesterday evening , Norwester wreaked havoc in Padmagiri, MV-84, MV-101 and the surrounding areas, causing significant damage to more than 100 houses. The power supply in the area has been disrupted since the incident occurred. The Revenue department is currently assessing the extent of the damage caused by the Norwester.
According to the preliminary inquiry conducted by the Addl. Tahasildar Jagdish Kartami, around 30 kacha houses have been damaged in the incident. The Norwester has also caused damage to the school hostel in Padmagiri GP, leaving the students and staff in a state of shock and despair.
In the wake of this tragedy, Block Chairman Gouri Podiami has demanded immediate government assistance to help the affected families in the region. The affected families are in urgent need of support and resources to recover from this natural disaster.
The local authorities are working tirelessly to restore power and provide assistance to those affected by the Norwester. However, the road is recovered by Fire Department and the community will need all the support it can get in the coming weeks and months.
