Shekhar Panda Reviews House-to-House Survey for 2027 Panchayat, Municipal Polls in Malkangiri
State Special Election Observer inspects field-level work in Khairput and Mathili blocks, directs officials to ensure accuracy and impartiality

Malkangiri, Nov. 3: Additional Secretary to the State Government and Special Election Observer Shekhar Panda visited Malkangiri district to review the ongoing house-to-house survey ahead of the 2027 three-tier Panchayat and Municipal elections.
During the first phase of his visit, Panda toured various areas of Khairput and Mathili blocks and inspected the survey activities being carried out at the grassroots level. He also interacted with local election officials, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and supervisors to assess the progress of the exercise.
Emphasising the need for accuracy and transparency, he directed the officials concerned to complete the survey within the stipulated period from October 26 to November 7, ensuring that the entire process remained impartial, systematic and free from errors.
Malkangiri Deputy District Collector Duryadhan Bhoi, District Panchayat Officer Bimal Kumar Lenka, the Block Development Officer of Khairput, BLOs, supervisors and other administrative officials were present during the review and field inspection. They briefed the observer on the progress of the survey and provided relevant details.
Panda is scheduled to visit Chitrakonda, Korukonda, Kalimela and Podia blocks in the coming days to review the progress of the ongoing survey.
