UP woman kills her dog after being bitten, drowns to death while disposing body in lake

Lucknow ,Jan 8 : A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow allegedly killed her dog before she herself drowned to death while trying to dispose of the dead pet in a lake.
The woman, identified as Rubi, was infuriated with her pet dog after he had bitten her and her younger child.
Unaware of the incident, the deceased’s husband got worried after she did not turn up for a long time. He went to search for the woman and found her slippers lying near the lake.
He pulled the deceased out of the lake with the help of the locals and informed the police.
According to east zone ADCP Sayed Ali Abbas, the body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the cause of the death, and further action will be taken after assessing the postmortem report.
